India 2011

Easter 2011; a short trip to the Uttarakhand (Uttaranchal)  region of India to paddle some steep Himalayan water on the Yamuna, Rupin and Tons rivers. Inspired by some reports of steep boulder gardens and clean drops, Chris Eastabrook and I headed out in search of some classic adventure paddling.

Kyrgyzstan 2005 – British Universities Kayaking Expedition

In August 2005, a group of nine students from universities in the UK flew to Kyrgyzstan on a month long expedition to explore and document some of the whitewater of this beautiful, mountainous, Central Asian country.  Over the month, we cruised about in a pair of outrageous ex-Russian Army trucks, paddled some incredible whitewater, and shared some unforgettable experiences.
